April's Car Of The Month face-off brought us a battle between two WRX hatchbacks. While it was a close face-off to begin, we'd like to congratulate Fabian Gomez for coming out on top! His heavily modified WRX not only turns heads from a distance, but up close you'll notice the time and detail he's incorporated into his build. Check out more below!
If you're like me, the first time you see this car your eyes are wide open and pressed against the screen, or playing with the contrast settings on your monitor to figure out what is going on with this WRX's paint. Photos make it look great but the first time you see this Laguna Seca Blue, mixed with heavy gold flake and pearlescent you can start to appreciate the details in this build. As you walk around the car you can see that it's heavily ladden with true carbon fiber accents. The car has a full carbon lip kit, all the way back to the diffuser in the rear. Then you might notice it on the fog light covers, up to the fenders, around the door pillars, front grill, eyelids, and the rear hatch garnish.
You may have already noticed his Panamera Quad Projector retrofit headlights, built by the one and only @Circuit_Designs. Swinging around the back of the car you'll see the headlights are paired with what are in my opinion, the best tail lights for the GH platform- the Valenti tail lights. See further up for some nice shots of these!
Fabian's interior is no joke either, with a fully loaded Cusco six-point cage and bucket seats. On top of that he installed a DAMD Formula D style steering wheel, and managed to get a few Bride accents on a fully suede interior as well.
Here you can get a better view of the Bride Euroster II seats, and catch a glimpse of the carbon fiber door pillars.
Fabian's air struts are powered by Air Lift's Autopilot V2 Management system. His air ride paired with GTSpec control and toe arms helps him get lip to fender on his Weds Maverick 815F's. Poking through those Weds you can see his gold 05 STI Brembos. Feast your eyes on that fitment below:
Thank you for your submission Fabian!
