These HQ ShockWaves use the same coilover-style, shock-within-a-spring construction as TQ, but in a more budget friendly single rebound-adjustable package. Single Adjustable Rebound The HQ Series ShockWaves feature a 24 position rebound adjustment knob on the shock body that allows you to dial your ride from daily driven comfort to a firmer, more controlled sport setting. HQ Series vs TQ Series ShockWaves These HQ Series ShockWaves from Ridetech use the same bags, and core hardware of the premium TQ Series. They still feature 1.834" pistons, 5/8" hardened shafts, impact-forged anodized bodies, and Ridetech's 1,000,001 mile warranty. The main difference comes down to how much damping control you get. The HQ lacks the remote reservoir of the TQ which allows for high speed and low speed compression adjustment as well. These HQ ShockWaves for the Cadillac Full Size 1956 are best for daily driving, weekend warriors and show cars while the more expensive TQ Series are best suited for heavy track use and for those seeking the most optimal handling characteristics.
