This basic geometry change increases the camber gain during suspension compression which allows the tire to lean into the turn instead of away from the turn. The RideTech spindle also has a pin height that is 2" higher than the OEM spindle. This means that your car will sit 2" lower than it would with the OEM spindle.

Development
StrongArms are developed by RideTech in Jasper, Indiana on an actual running, driving vehicle. This allows them to properly address ALL fitment and performance issues. It also allows them to document an installation, demonstrate the installation to their sales techs and dealers, and allows ongoing evaluation of the performance of the StrongArms.
Design
RideTech’s Strong Arms are designed with as few components as possible. Their 4 axis tubing bender allows precise, repeatable bends that no other machine can achieve. They can create elegant tubing bends that would otherwise require several separate welded components.
Geometry
Geometry of a suspension starts with the position of the frame mounts and the height of the spindle, not the shape of the control arm. However, there are a few small things in control arm design that can make a big difference in how a vehicle drives and performs.
RideTech creates extra caster potential by adjusting the fore and aft position of the ball joints. At the same time they make sure the wheel is properly positioned in the wheel-well so your new 18" wheels fit like they should!
The balljoint camber travel is re-centered to accommodate the new lowered ride height so the ball joint doesn’t bind during extreme suspension movement.
The perimeter of the StrongArms is contoured to allow maximum wheel clearance and turning radius.
All shock mounts, air spring mounts, and sway bar mounts are integrated into the design so you don’t have to finish the engineering in order to enjoy your ride!

This kit includes an upgraded steering system with steering arms, a draglink bracket, and tie rod assemblies.
These early cars had very poor suspension geometry where the tires lean outward around turns, the bumpsteer is bad, and there is little room to run a wide wheel because the OEM steering arm interferes with the inside of the wheel.
The TruTurn system resolves all of these issues. The tires now lean into the turn, the bumpsteer is under 0.50" through 5" of suspension travel, and you now have the clearance to run up to a 10" wide wheel with a 275mm tire.

Development
StrongArms are developed by RideTech in Jasper, Indiana on an actual running, driving vehicle. This allows them to properly address ALL fitment and performance issues. It also allows them to document an installation, demonstrate the installation to their sales techs and dealers, and allows ongoing evaluation of the performance of the StrongArms.
Design
RideTech’s Strong Arms are designed with as few components as possible. Their 4 axis tubing bender allows precise, repeatable bends that no other machine can achieve. They can create elegant tubing bends that would otherwise require several separate welded components.
Geometry
Geometry of a suspension starts with the position of the frame mounts and the height of the spindle, not the shape of the control arm. However, there are a few small things in control arm design that can make a big difference in how a vehicle drives and performs.
RideTech creates extra caster potential by adjusting the fore and aft position of the ball joints. At the same time they make sure the wheel is properly positioned in the wheel-well so your new 18" wheels fit like they should!
The balljoint camber travel is re-centered to accommodate the new lowered ride height so the ball joint doesn’t bind during extreme suspension movement.
The perimeter of the StrongArms is contoured to allow maximum wheel clearance and turning radius.
All shock mounts, air spring mounts, and sway bar mounts are integrated into the design so you don’t have to finish the engineering in order to enjoy your ride!

This basic geometry change increases the camber gain during suspension compression which allows the tire to lean into the turn instead of away from the turn. The RideTech spindle also has a pin height that is 2" higher than the OEM spindle. This means that your car will sit 2" lower than it would with the OEM spindle.
RideTech has used this spindle on their own track cars with great success over the last 4 years. They have used both Wilwood and Baer brake kits designed for the GM A body with this spindle.
