Converting BC Racing Coilovers to Air Suspension
BR Series coilovers on the VW Golf/GTI/Jetta Mk2 Mk3 & Corrado aren't locked into a coil spring setup for life. Because they feature fully-threaded shock bodies, these coilovers convert to a full air suspension setup by simply removing the coil springs and threading on a set of coilover conversion bags in their place. Want to start out with coils and move to air suspension in the future? This makes the BR Series a practical starting point for owners who want coilover-level adjustability now but may want to move to air suspension down the road, or who want to keep that option open without committing to a full air ride kit up front.

Spring Rate Upgrades
The standard springs on BC Racing coilovers work well for most builds, but if you're chasing a specific stance or feel, the BR Series can be upgraded to a custom spring rate at checkout:
- Custom Spring Rates for BC Racing Coilovers (4 Corner) - spec your own spring rates up to 20k, installed on your coilovers in place of the standard springs by BC Racing before shipping.
- Swift Springs Upgrade for Coilovers (4 Corner) - for spring rates above 20k, or for Swift's faster reacting spring material, installed in place of the standard springs.
Both options replace the standard springs entirely - you won't receive the stock springs alongside a custom spring rate order. To order simply add either one of the above products to your car with this set of coilovers or reach out and we can help you with placing the order.
